Bringing Clean Energy to Your Community

Standard Solar funds projects that make it possible for individuals, government entities, schools, businesses and more to purchase renewable solar energy generated in their local community.

Community Solar Ribbon Cutting

Community solar projects allow even more participating in the clean energy revolution. According to a report from GTM Research, Wood Mackenzie and Vote Solar, between 50% and 75% of U.S. electricity consumers don’t have the option to install a solar array on their roof or property.

By allowing customers to buy their solar power from a central array built and operated by a third party, more people can enjoy the financial savings and sustainable benefits of the community solar array without any upfront installation costs or ongoing maintenance needs.

These innovative, shared solar installations have the potential to reach 84 GW of operating capacity, serve 8.8 million customers and account for as much as 2.6% of U.S. electricity consumption by 2030. Standard Solar’s financial investment, development expertise and ongoing ownership in community solar is on track to deliver renewable energy to more people than ever before.
